A speech to all genders 2017-03-18
I hear them whisper from their hidings, that nothing happens around here
We bring to them some joyful tidings for eyes to see and ears to hear.
I hear them mumble from their corners: We cannot sing we cannot dance
Hence they become unjoyful mourners, who do not grasp this joyful chance.
To play around with birds and feathers, to put their finest garments on
To sqeeze into the tightest leathers, to have the finest make up done.
We meet here in the realms of glamour, have left all sofas’ soft comfort
We meet in glamour’s shining armour, and smile as we have done before.
I say, let celebration in!
I say, let shyness be!
I say, that are you thick or thin –
Come here and shine with us and me.
There are some times for jubilation, some times we simply do let go
Such is the mark of celebration, to let the sweet winds rise and blow.
We are together many ages and really many genders too
We write on glamour party’s pages some words from me and some from you.
Of merriness and hearts enlightened and open, sharing atmosphere
So even though my waist i tightened, I move so lightly around here.
I see the flowers, sense the flavours, so many colours to take in
I praise my daughters sparkling favours, I love extravaganca’s sin.
So let us greet and meet each other with open minds and shining eyes
And let no wrinkle create bother, forget disqualifying lies.
There is a truth in playful minds. A truth that tells another story
That we are more than thinking kinds and hence can dance all free from worry.
Who are we then, we – gendered beings – of many sorts, I do believe
They go beyond all sounds and seeings, as silently they stream and sieve.
From women, men and from transgendered, from fluid states and intersexed
From those where gender was not rendered, from anyone that come in next.
Of course we live within our bodies, of course they have some minor flaws
Let it dilute in food and toddies, let bodies shine for glamour’s cause
Let us indulge in being pretty, let us feel strong with stylish build
And be we worn and torn and sweaty, it is all part of glamour’s guild.
A force resides within our tissues, it may be candid in its ways
Some good advices it surely issues, so very apt for joyful days
At times this force is loud and luring, it calls for all: Come and convene
It is for songs and dancing spuring, I name it as the glamour gene.
Just listen to it, it calls for duty, brake out from closets here and now
Let sparkle here your inner beauty, let phantasy in glamour glow
Let brightness out from inner shrine, let all this beauty live and shine
It is like music, mine and thine, when glamour rises to devine.
